More Good News!

Thanks to you, All One Ocean is on the rise!

With your support, we hit the ground running after returning from several game-changing conferences and meetings in DC in June. July saw the installation of our 13th, 14th and 15th Beach Clean Up Stations (BCUS), plus high-visibility profiles in the Marin Independent Journal and the Earth Island Journal.

All One Ocean’s Founder, Hallie Austen Iglehart, will be on the stage at Bella Gaia in San Rafael on October 11th. Please join her there at this tribute to Planet Ocean.

And, we’ve engaged two big new sponsors!

Read on for more information about all of our exciting news and other ways to connect with All One Ocean…

Our 13th, 14th & 15th BCUS – YOU Made It Happen!
Richmond, Stinson Beach and Pacifia

On July 23rd, the All One Ocean team and volunteers installed our 14th Beach Clean Up Station at Stinson Beach. We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without the help of our supporters, especially volunteer Steward, Phil Warren, who came from Doran Beach in Sonoma County to put up the BCUS.

We were thrilled to see Nancy and her family from Stockton — three generations who have been coming to Stinson Beach for 15 years — jumping right in and taking to the BCUS idea immediately:

“I don’t want people trashing my beach! My community doesn’t know much about this kind of thing. I’ve got a bunch of kids from my family here; I’m going to go get them to help clean up the beach.”

Nancy’s words show us we’re succeeding in our goals for the Beach Clean Up Stations: empowering people to act on their love for the beach, involving kids, and educating diverse communities about plastic pollution.

Meanwhile, our super volunteers including Janette Maurer in Richmond and Helen Nicely in Pacifica were busy installing their BCUS at Bay Trails and Mussel Rock, respectively. Huge thanks to them for their continued support getting the Stations installed and maintaining them.
